Regularly checking your lens is a very important part of maintaining your laser cutter. If it is not cleaned regularly, you may notice that you're no longer able to cut through materials as easily as before; as one of our customers recently found out (image shared here with their permission).
This is not the only issue that you might encounter with a dirty lens. When smoke and dirt are left on the lens, this can heat up during use. This can lead to your lens cracking due to thermal shock. We highly recommend checking your lens with every 40 hours of laser use, and cleaning it as necessary. If you are unsure of how to do this, check out our instructional video below:
